Seattle-based post-
grunge pop/
rock group. While often compared to the
Posies, Super Deluxe offers a unique blend of slick
guitar riffs and intelligent
lyrics which help them stand out.
The band formed in 1994 when
drummer Chris Lockwood and
bassist Jake Nesheim attended a solo
gig by
singer/
guitarist Braden Blake. The group filled out their lineup with
guitarist/
vocalist John Kirsch soon after.
After two albums with moderate
critical acclaim but lackluster sales (listed below), the band mostly dissapeared from the scene in late 1999, with news of
drummer Lockwood's departure coming in early 2000.
