Swissair is
Switzerland's formerly prestigious airline. They used to have excellent service and cherished the
Swiss ideals of punctuality and perfection.
Unfortunately they're in huge financial trouble now which leaves their service below average.
If you're travelling to or from Switzerland, rather choose
British Airways or
American Airlines.
The airline's home airport is Zurich Kloten (ZHR), a medium sized modern airport a couple miles outside
Zurich with an excellent connection to Swiss public transportations.
As Switzerland's not a member of the
EU, you'll find quite a few tax-free shops behind the passport controls, so make sure to keep a couple Swiss Franks before you leave the country :)
