And the Earth shuddered
Shouldering the weight
Of the human infestation
Waking in the deep
From a slumber of eons
Her caretakers becoming infection
Her once rich and soft skin
Now fallow, dry and flaking
Her once cool, clear waters
Foaming with toxins
Her gardens of forests
Razed by industry and
So-called growth
She cries tears of rage
Flooding the barren lands
Shaking with fury unmatched
Preparing to shed her ruined body
In her rage
She shall endure
