The Sound of Silence

The Sound of Silence.

Is there ever Complete Silence? How does that Sound? Can you hear silence? Does Silence have a sound?

There is always a sound, if not, always a buzz. I want complete silence - even if it was a moment... to stop everything... even stop hearing my thoughts.

In Silence, one is at greater liberty to think. Silence and thought - does thought sound? Music hinders silence which in turn denies an individual of this liberty - to what degree, is debatable.

I prefer Silence to Music. Though it does not require talent nor effort, the Sound of Silence is essential for Self-revelation, original Thought processes and above all, Healing.

Hello Usenet, my old friend,

People talking without speaking,
People hearing without listening,
People writing thoughts that voices daren't express
But they confess
With just the sound of keystrokes.

"Fools" thought I, "You do not know
Deja like a cancer grows.
Your words may yet come back to haunt you,
Ten years from now they may still taunt you"
But my thoughts just spiralled into space,
And echoed
Off the face of keystrokes

And as the people typed away
Throughout the night and through the day.
I sensed that somehow I was losing,
All the posts I should be choosing.
And my mind said, "The words of the prophets
Now are buried deep in pointless threads
They can't be said."
Just clattered in the sounds of keystrokes.
