In the cartoon, Thundercats, Thunderians were a race of cat-like humanoids who inhabited the planet Thundera, prior to it being destroyed in a terrible cataclysm. Several Thundercat Nobles escaped to another planet, Third Earth, where they survive despite constant assault from Slythe, his evil band of mutants, and Mumm-Ra, a hideous mummified sorcerer who worships spirits of evil from his pyramid.
