Knot of the slain.

A symbol found carved in stone, associated with funery motifs. Its root val is the same root for Valhalla--"hall of the slain." It is thought to represent the warriors who have gone on to feast in Valhalla with Odin. As such, it has been adopted by followers of Ásatrú as a symbol for Odin, and is the main symbol for Odinism, as Mjollnir is the main symbol for mainstream Ásatrú, the two largest branches of Ásatrú/Norse Heathenism.

Another name for the symbol is Hrungnir's Heart, after a giant in the Eddas
