The Very Large Array in the Plains of San Augustin, New Mexico. Run by the NRAO. Basically, 27 20m radio dishes, spaced out on three arms (north, east, and west, despite the fact that the east and west arms point at 120 and 240 degrees, respectively). One of the bigger radio astronomy interferometers out there. Organized on the usual US principle: Get a really huge piece of land and lay it out symmetrically and straight.
