WQED, whose slogan is "to enlighten, entertain, and engage", is the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania affiliate of the Public Broadcasting Service.

When WQED was founded in 1954, it was the first community-owned television station in the United States. Over the years, WQED has been the producer of many shows that have gone on to gain national exposure. The most notable of these is Mister Roger's Neighborhood. Fred Rogers, the star of the show, makes his home in Pittsburgh and began his television career on WQED with a show called "The Josie Carey / Fred Rogers Children's Corner".

WQED is located next to the campus of Carnegie Mellon University, and airs on channel 13 on local Pittsburgh television.
