The Waterloo and City Line is the shortest line on the London Underground, having only the two stations Waterloo and Bank. Until 1985 the line was operated by British Rail, but is now part of the main tube network. On a standard tube map, the Waterloo and City Line appears as a pale turquoise colour.

Connections to the Circle, District, and Central Lines, the Northern Line Bank Branch and the Docklands Light Railway at Bank (for Monument in the case of the Circle and District Lines); and to the Northern Line Charing Cross Branch, Bakerloo and Jubilee Lines at Waterloo.
