By-y-y-y the wa-a-aters, the wa-a-a-ters of Babylon
We lay down and we-ept, and we-ept, for thee Zion.
We remember, we remember, we remember thee Zion.

Sung as a sad, slow round, this folk song is a paraphrase of the first few lines of Psalm 137. Don McLean recorded it as Babylon on his album American Pie. The Melodians' much-covered Rivers of Babylon is a reggae take on the same Psalm.
