A
company which was borne from
BC Rail when it decided several
years ago to create an internal
telecommunications infrastructure. It turns out they
overbuilt it, and thus, decided to
split it into its own company in order to turn a
profit from
sale of said
infrastructure. For the most part, it uses
microwave frequencies to offer
data services. That

It was eventually bought out by RSLCom Canada, a larger telecommunications outfit. Despite that, the Westel division of RSLCom appears to be retaining its old personal and small-business charm with very knowledgable and pleasant technicians.
If you ever need good high-speed data services in British Columbia, give Westel a ring, I'm sure they'll have something which will work well for your needs.
