I was
living for the future, not realizing I was just living.
Everyday I got up with a plan. A plan for years down the line. Projects were started, projects that were almost never finished. But because I had all these projects
spinning at once, they propelled me forward each day.
I wished I had stopped to smell the roses. I really do. But
at the time, it didn't really occur to me. It was always a rush to get things done. Deadlines were coming, there was no time to waste. Life was rushing by, but I had no time to stand still. Not if I wanted to reach the goals I had set for myself.
There was no view at the mountaintop. I only looked at my climbing gear.
