1948 b/w comedy film produced by Ealing Films and directed by Alexander Mackendrick. Well-crafted, nicely shot, pacy little film about a ship full of whisky being shipwrecked on a small island in the Outer Hebrides during World War II, and the trials of the local Customs and Excise in their attempts to get it back.
