White Town is the alias of dance producer Jyoti Mishra. After he had his fill, he debuted with his album Women In Technology. The album itself is a low-key collection of disco inflected, cheeky pop, and while likable, no one expected its lead track, "Your Woman" to become a smash hit in the U.K. and a highlight single in the U.S. However, Mishra kept true to his indie roots and refused to play it on Top Of The Pops. He released a single for "Your Woman" and later, released a trailer EP, "Another Lover" which became the lead track for his new album, Peek and Poke. Both come with recommendations. Having some Pastels records could help.
