bdelygmia: condemnation by expressions of revulsion. This is one of the stranger rhetorical terms that has survived into English from Classical Greek.

But the bd- initial is not so strange in Greek. For one thing, it is simply the voiced correspondent of pt-, which is not unusual. And I have managed to dredge up a few other words with the same first two letters; all seem to have meanings relatable to nausea:
