To be brought back to one's cake and milk:
Obscure northern phrase meaning "to be taken down a peg or two".

Eg: "You keep that attitude up, young man, and you'll be brought back to your cake and milk soon enough!"

Also: to be brought down to one's cake and milk. Stemming from the idea that cake and milk are the most humble foods that people live off. Not entirely sure why cake and not bread, but it's probably similar to Marie Antoinette's "Let them eat cake".
