The daemon that symlinks /dev entries using the old naming convention to the better, faster, stronger devfs entries used in Linux 2.4.
It won't
compile on
recent kernels, it seems. Luckily for me, it's also a part of
Debian Woody, thus a
binary is just an
apt-get away.
