Name applied to some members of the Phenethylamine family of psychoactive molecules, MDMA (Ecstasy) and 2C-B, in particular. They are so-named due to their positive emotional effect upon the user. It is common to feel an overwhelming sense of love and human kinship towards those around you. It is for this reason that MDMA is sometimes known as the hug-drug.
