An
individualist-
anarchist is someone who feels the
individual is the best place to look for
governance. The individualist-anarchist does not believe in
big government as a solution, and he or she is opposed to
gun control, prefering
empowerment of the individual, and de-emphasizes
society and
social norms.
Robert Heinlein is the preeminent sci-fi writer of the I-A persuasion, and Lazarus Long is a prototypical I-A character.
People of I-A inclination are not likely to take part in political activities, but when they do, they typically vote conservatively, since that is the party most likely to reduce the size of the government and leave the power in the hands of the individual. Thomas Jefferson and Ben Franklin might be described as individualist-anarchists by nature, if not by action.
