Ing is the Anglo-Saxon name for the norse fertility deity Freyr (also known as Ingvi Freyr, Yngvi Freyr, Ingunar Freyr, Yng, Frea, Fro, Froh, Ingwaz and simple old Frey). It comes from the old Germanic Ingwaz and means 'Lord of the Danes'.
