I'm a word nerd. Aren't you?
Every time I hear the word 'underlay' my brain silently shouts '¡Arriba! ¡Arriba!'.
Also, when I read 'rofl', in my head it sounds like Scooby Doo saying 'waffle'.
Sometimes I simply have a narrator in my head. He usually sounds like Morgan Freeman. Sometimes, though, it's Patrick Stewart. When I'm particularly tired or something, they meld together.
I have no idea to this day what those two Klingon ladies were singing about. Truth is, I don't wanna know. Some things are best left unsaid. I'd like to think they were singing about something so beautiful, it cannot be expressed by a Universal Translator, and makes your heart ache because of it. I tell you, those voices soared boldlier and farther than any life form in a gray place dares to dream. It was like some beautiful bird transported into our drab little cage and made those shields dissolve away, and for the briefest of moments, every last humanoid on the Enterprise felt free.
Here's the plan:
- Try and get back in the habit of writing.
- Try and get back in the habit of noding.
- Try and get better at noding.
- Try and find interesting things to say.
We'll see how I go.
