Kun-yomi 「訓読み」 is the term for the Japanese reading of a character. Often, while it may share an On-yomi with a Chinese character, the kun-yomi may be significantly different from it's on-yomi.

「魂」This character represents the concept of the soul, or the spirit. It's kun-yomi is "tamashii" 「たましい」, while it's on-yomi is "kon" 「コン」. This kanji, though, has no nanori reading.
