The sound that a large structure, such as the Kingdome or Three Rivers Stadium, typically makes as it implodes. The name, of course, is a silly pun on boom, traditionally associated with explosions.
To properly prepare for an implosion, make sure that you open all of your windows, wear some amplifying headphones, and stand as close to the site as possible.
