Wide SCSI, or Ultra-2 SCSI, is a version of SCSI that is now implimented in high-performance CD-ROM's and low-performance HDD. Wide SCSI is limited to 40 Mbytes per second and a Single-Ended length of 3 meters, an HVD length of 25 meters, an LVD length of 12 meters, and a maximum of 4 or 8 devices on a chain.
