The
second of the
Babylon Stations, its construction was started to
replace the
failed
construction of
Babylon Station.
Babylon Station 2 fell to the same fate. It was sabotaged by an unknown force. (Again, presumably the Drakh or other friends of the Shadows).
Due to the sabotage, the station's
infrastructure collapsed, according to the workers on the scene.
But, like its predecessor, Babylon Station, the project was sabotaged by a rival political organization that disagreed with the Babylon Project's Philosophy.
The project was continued with the construction of
Babylon Station 3, or
Babylon 3.
