On non-Windows systems, the interface is the first line of defence against the persistent, ingenious dumbass attacks that the ordinary luser employs to destroy the stability of a computer. In a fascinating demonstration of natural selection, the smarter users who are not immediately scared off learn to use the beast to perform functions much more efficiently than their sheeplike brethren.

Windows systems, of course, attempt to deflect the luser's pokings while substituting the Microsoft programmers' incompetence.
