To make 16 of these fine
biscuits you will need:
110g
self-raising flour
1 rounded teaspoon ground
ginger
1 teaspoon bicarbonate of soda
40g granluated sugar
50g margerine
2 tablespoons
golden syrup
Pre-heat the oven to 190 degrees Celcius, (375 F)and grease one large baking sheet.
Firstly sift the flour into a large bowl then add the ginger, sugar and bicarbonate of soda. The margerine should then be rubbed in until the mixture is crumbly. Next add the syrup and stir til a stiff paste is formed.
Divide the mixture into 16 pieces and roll each piece into a ball. Flatten each ball slightly and bake for 10-15 minutes.
Once cooked allow them to cool for 10 minutes. Store in an air-tight tin.
