Francois Truffaut's 1967 film. Jeanne Moreau's husband is assassinated on the church steps by a sniper right after their wedding. Single-minded with grief, Moreau finds out who the 5 men (the bastards!) are who are responsible for the murder; and after lulling them (with caresses) into a false sense of security, kills them one by one. She's dressed in either black or white throughout the movie. Based on William Irish's novel.
