My mom used to sing this around the house. I think a lot of girls enjoy being
this kind of girl at least a little bit of the time, if not anywhere near
all of the time. But it's a cute
melody and didn't seem
inappropriate to its time. If it's a bit much for you,
write your own lyrics to it. I've always thought it seemed rather un-
feminist for girls to hate being female. I do enjoy being a girl! (Working on becoming a
woman, but I plan to enjoy that too.)
