This was an online conversation I had quite awhile ago. A certain user posted it here while I was away from my computer. I'm leaving it up simply becaue otherwise there probably wouldnt't be anything else here.

well just today there was an article in the dailiy news about how they pcbs near an alabama town for nearly forty decades at alarming levels

but that's just they're old record

today they're at the forfront as a "life-sciences" company

monsanto makes a strong pesticide it will kill any bad insects or other pests

In fact it's so strong it'll even kill many plants

so monsanto engineers a strain of first soy resistant to their pesticide...they play washington and they don't need fda approval (it's woefully undertested)

they license the seeds to farmers (you have to buy new seeds every year, can't replant, also have 800 number spy on your fellow farmer)

and now of course they sell all sorts of crops

but they've found that these gmo plants aren't neccessarily safe for the enviroment and screw w/ the ecology, plus the pesticides are dangerous

and also there's some evidence that suggests these crops may be unhealthy to eat

of course monsanto has covered a great deal of this evidence up

I just noticed on wired news some organic farmers in canada are suing monsanto along w/ aventis
