It is Eric Clapton playing the guitar solo on While My Guitar Gently Weeps. His instrument is a Gibson Les Paul, (it was cherry red, can you hear the color?) affectionately named Lucy. Clapton later gifted this guitar to George. This guitar can be heard (with George playing) on the single Something (from the album Abbey Road).
