Girlfriend of
Diddy Kong in the
Donkey Kong Universe. Dixie made her first appearance in
Donkey Kong Country 2 and
Donkey Kong Land 2 where she played the
sidekick to hero
Diddy. She took center stage in
Donkey Kong Country 3 and
Donkey Kong Land 3 with her little cousin
Kiddy Kong. Her most recent appearance was in
Super Smash Bros. Melee as a
trophy. She was slated to appear in the cancelled
Nintendo GameCube title
Donkey Kong Racing.
Dixie wears a pink beret with the Rareware logo on it, has a long blond ponytail hairstyle, and is fond of chewing gum and juice boxes. Her special talent is the ability to twirl her long hair like a rotor and slowly glide around.
While initially a creation of Rareware, Dixie reverted to Nintendo after Microsoft bought Rareware in 2002. Ever since SSBM the Rareware logo on her beret has been missing, a sign that she is no longer connected to Rare.
