Scientists in
India say they've identified
the world's hottest chili. Grown in Assam, North-Eastern India, it is nearly half as pungent
again as the Mexican chili that has traditionally laid claim to the title.
The Red Savina Habanero from Mexico, which according to experts from the Defence Research Laboratory, measures 577 on a scale of hotness devised by a scientist named Wilbur Scoville....*of course I won't dryly joke about him being a Scoldville inhabitant !!!*
One hotel chef said drinking water only makes it worse, the only antidotes are dairy products like milk. The NAGA JOLOKIA has challenged the Mexicans to a whopping 855 Scovilles.
