Last night, while
smoking alone,
I saw the sky fall.
It was
blue and
ice and
magic, and it left stars behind as it burned its way down to the horizon. It fell east, and left a glow as it passed beneath the
row of houses, blocking it from my view.
I stared at the spot where it had been, and saw it still,
burned into my vision.
