In zoological sense, the word 'zorro' is often used to refer the South American foxes, specifically the parts of the fox family that are not in vulpes genus (the "relatives" of the red fox, vulpes vulpes).
The most important member of this group of animals is the crab-eating zorro (cerdocyon thous).
