Brother of Sue Storm. These siblings accompanied Reed Richards (Sue's fiance) and Ben Grimm on a fateful space flight that exposed the quartet to mutating cosmic rays.
Each member of the group received a superpower. Johnny attained the ability to turn any part of his body into a living flame. Thus, he took the name The Human Torch. Johnny can also fly and create decoys made of pure flame. Together the quartet banded together to fight evil as The Fantastic Four
Johnny is somewhat young and brash. For a time he wore a red velour uniform in stark contrast to the rest of the group's blue uniforms.
