30 years old today. Time to realize that life has begun, and that I will probably not become a professional athlete after all. Not even a late bloomer.

It feels like forever since I turned 20, but just months since I turned 25. I am now obliged to check the 30 - box when filling out forms etc.

Soon I can turn bitter and hostile towards everything new and fresh. But I guess I already did that in mid-nineties, so nothing new there. Well kids, I got news for you: the 25-30 was the best time in my life and you should be looking forward to it.

Some say that when you turn 30, 40 or even 50, then you're over the top. Well, I look at it this way: Whoa! There's a 30 year long slope ahead, with 6 feet of powder snow!
