CMYK inks are mixed and applied to a white (or clear) surface. As opposed to the additive process, each ink subtracts from white to eventually form black. You'll notice that CMYK colors are in-between the RGB spectrum, used in the additive process
this process is best used for print mediums such as flyers color photographs.
