Behind a wall of glass
Beyond the reach of time
A pale and ghostly face
This bleeding heart of mine

Locked away inside of me
In incorrupt entirety
The pass of time belied
By this formaldehyde

I never will let go of this
Will never break the jar
Can never let your pallid face
Spill darkly from my heart

Still your eyes stare into mine
Preserved beyond the reach of time
The clock has stopped, blood has not dried
Replaced by this formaldehyde
