A drysuit is similar in
function to a
wetsuit, except for the fact that it that it's
dry.(Yuk Yuk) A drysuit is also
neoprene with a softer
lining, and employs tight seals at the
neck,
wrists, and
ankles to keep
water out. Because a drysuit contains
air, it has valves that must be connected to the
regulator in order to maintain equalization with the outside water pressure.
Drysuits are something of an
expensive luxury, and one seldom sees them being used except in fairly
cold water.
