The first solo album by
Mick Harvey, the album was put together as a homage to
Serge Gainsbourg. It was released in October of
1995, and recorded in
Melbourne and
London.
The homage to Gainsbourg featured translation of Gainsbourg pieces from the original French, and as many of Gainsbourg wrote mostly for women, features Anita Lane singing many of the female roles.
