A particularly horrific murder method which was practiced in South Africa throughout the 1990’s. The victim’s hands are bound behind their back and a gasoline-soaked tire is placed around their neck. The tire is then ignited. It is said to cause a particularly excrutiating death.

Possibly also known as a Soweto Necklace, although at this time I have been unable to find any sources to confirm this.
