The color is named Bondi because
Jonathan Ive who has designed the
iMac the
G4 cube, the
iBook, and
titanium PowerBook G4, said the color reminded him of the water on
Bondi Beach in
Sydney,
Australia.
A lot of effort went into the color, as they needed a color that was pleasing, subtle and could go well with the transparency.
Almost a million have been sold in this color alone.
