A pansyboy, also spelled pansyboi, is a derivative of the word pansy used to indicate a gay and/or effeminate man. Unlike pansy, it is usually used as an endearment, as in the sentence "C'mere, you silly pansyboy, let me kiss you."
Pansyboy, like a variety of other jargon used in the queer subculture, is too esoteric to be used as a weapon by outsiders. Terms like trannyfag, boydyke and femme (as applied to lesbians) are similarly obscure.
