I've already started to node bits and pieces of my
homework for the
interior design course, but I thought I might as well try and node all aspects of interpretation of colours. To give the impression of a
structure, I made a few
divisions:
The
use of colours, which may be of most practical use if you don't
trust your
instincts
colour schemes
colour contrast
colour harmony
psychological effects of colour
Classification of colours is quite handy to aviod discussions with
colour blind persons and people who tend to
understand something else than you actually mean. ("Are we talking about sea-green or sea-blue here??!!")
Munsell system, most commonly used.
color systems from men like Wilhelm Ostwald and M.E. Chevreul and some other not quite important men.
Pantone system, is not really a classification, but used nevertheless.
