7 Seconds

Hardcore punk band from Reno, Nevada 1980-?. For most of their career consisted of Kevin Seconds (guitar & vocals), Steve Youth (bass) and Bix Bigler (drums). Part of the so-called "positive punk" movement. Named "best band" two years in a row by Flipside readers, and one of the few who could pull off a (relatively) straight-faced cover of "99 Red Balloons".

The delay between what is played, or said on a radio station and when you, the listener, actually hears it. This explains that "echo" you may hear when telephone listeners are calling in to a station, and why the radio people keep telling them to "turn off their radio."
