Right across the way from the Market Theater is Post Alley, this is a trendy little night spot for the upwardly socialized in Seattle's downtown zone. It might look like a dive from the outside, but that's very deceptive.

The Alibi Room makes an attempt to pass itself off as a place where "fine dining" happens, but during the day, when the the young and scrubbed are sleeping off their drinks from the night before, it's a quiet place to lounge around and get drunk while reading one of the many screenplays they have in a bookcase near the entrance.

It's perfect on those summer days when Seattle is just too damn sunny, and you need to go somewhere to be pale until the sun sets.

DJ's spin low soothing drum heavy music in the evening downstairs.
