Bravo November was the call-sign of the only RAF Chinook heavy transport helicopter to operate during the critical early stages of the Falklands War when ground troops were advancing from the landings at San Carlos, across East Falkland towards Port Stanley.
Four Chinooks were dispatched with the Task Force onboard the container vessel Atlantic Conveyor. Bravo November was the only one airborne when the Atlantic Conveyor was hit by an Exocet missile on the 25th of May, 1982.
