Located at the
intersection of
Fresh Pond Parkway and
Concord Ave in
Cambridge, MA, these paired
rotaries are separated by about 200
meters. The western rotary has
Fresh Pond Parkway entering from the north, and
Concord Ave from the west; the eastern rotary has
Fresh Pond Parkway to the southeast,
Concord Ave to the east, and
New St to the north.
These rotaries are heavily saturated from the funnel effect - all traffic out of Cambridge to the west must exit via Rte 2, located a half mile north of the donuts, or through Belmont on Concord Ave.
During 1999, 2000, and 2001, roadwork in between the rotaries has made traffic even worse than normal.
