Quirky alternative folk band started at
University of New Hampshire in 1988, ended in
San Francisco in 1996. Often featured
ukelele,
bongos, and
violin, although a tin can, cardboard bass, and toy
xylophone sometimes made an appearance. High point of career was either their interview on
Dr. Demento in 1992 or their appearance in the movie "Eds Next Move," in 1997.
Opened for Jonathon Richman, Robyn Hitchcock, Throwing Muses, Cake, and King Missile. Featured Carrie Bradley and Dan Leone.
